I recently participated in the Paper Crane Project through a Flickr group . Then I picked up the summer 2007 issue of knit.1, and found The knitnotwar 1,0o0 Project , another crane project, this time involving knitting! Using the pattern provided by the project's author/designer, Seann McKeel of Portland, Oregon, I made a knitted crane. I found out about the project too late to send my crane to her for her art display, but it was fun to make nevertheless! For a PDF file copy of the pattern, see her project blog.
