AAAaaaarrrrgh!
HOW could I do this? I feel so SILLY! Oh, well, lesson learned... Next time I'll check first.
I knit all afternoon Saturday, working on the back portion of Montparnasse. I was about halfway up the back piece when the skein ran out. I went to my stash to grab the next skein, and to my horror, all the other (7) skeins are a different shade! They are a light oatmeal color, and the one skein I started with is a slightly darker tan shade... But it is also not the same color as the camel Wool Ease (9 skeins)that is also in my stash. So what is this skein? Where did it come from? I honestly don't know... To put it simply, this rogue skein, this oddball, is unique... and therefore useless for the sweater! ~ SIGH! ~ So, I am now beginning the sweater again (in oatmeal). The partially completed sweater back is now destined for frogging. Perhaps someday it will have new life as a hat, or part of a scarf, or colorwork in some other project. For now, though, it's just a big pain!

Tienne, I can't figure it out! :) It must have snuck in my stash when I wasn't looking! ;)
Hi Kathy!
Oh, I am so glad you liked the gift! Thanks so much for visiting, and for always having such nice and encouraging things to say!

Oh no, what a bummer!
Oh, how frustrating! You made all that progress for nothing. Well, maybe it will be quicker knitting this time around.
Watch out, the knitting gremlins are out and about. They have been out to get me for a couple of weeks now.
I love your lavendar mitts for Kathy! Can't wait to try them!
