I finished the second sleeve, and also did most of the piecing yesterday! The only thing remaining is the collar, and it's done. I need to buy circular needles to pick up the stitches around the neck (to knit the collar)... I will try to get them later today. The piecing actually came out better than I expected, for my first time (doing it the right way, that is!). The mattress stitch is rather easy with a large stitch pattern like this. The sweater already feels so heavy! I am sure it'll be cozy and very warm.
