Today was simply gorgeous... after days of much-needed rain, the sun finally came out, and luckily the humidity stayed away. I spent part of the afternoon on the back porch, relaxing and working on my lacy Chinook (see previous posts). Spike and Maisy joined me, loving the warm sun and breezes.

The basil in the window box smelled wonderful... I need to pick some soon to make pesto... The tomatoes are ripening, and I finally have some baby green squash from my one and only squash plant. Ah, the late summer is wonderful!
