They're Back - In New Colors

One of my favorite organizing tools is back, in Barnes & Noble. It's a set of 4 nylon mesh zippered bags (for $12.95). As you can see in the photo above, the large size holds your 8.5 x 11 inch pattern booklet flat with room to spare, and can accomodate a pretty good sized project: here it's the sleeves of the sweater I am working on, plus a 3oz. skein of Paton's Encore. The 14" knitting needles fit diagonally in the bag as well. The next size bag has 2 skeins of Noro KPPPM, a pair of 9" needles, and a pattern on 8.5 x 11 paper folded in half. The smaller bags can hold your notions - stitch markers, scissors, tape measure, etc. It's a great way to organize projects in progress, and it's easy to see and grab one for knitting on the go. The set above is sage green, and I saw sets of red and royal blue bags as well.

The Montparnasse sweater is coming along nicely after the initial yarn mixup the other day. I couldn't bear to start the back over yet, so I started with the sleeves this time. I like the oatmeal heather Patons Encore, it knits up nicely. This should be a comfy sweater. Still haven't decided how I feel about the inside-out seaming, though.

Oh those are cute organizers - I've never seen them before but I really like them. You know how to enable, I have such a weakness for bags! ;)

Those bags are really cool! I love the idea of having all four at the ready and just grabbing the one(s) I want as I walk out the door.
